MS21 recommendations to guide the future of MS care: Delphi consensus 2025
Neurol Ther. Nov 2025
The very first publication from MS21, back in 2012, was a consensus statement outlining what the group believed multiple sclerosis (MS) care should look like in the future.
This new study represents an update to the original recommendations, reflecting on all that has been achieved in MS care over the last decade and laying out the priorities and recommendations for improving MS care to relieve people with MS (PwMS) of the burden of disease, from the perspective of both PwMS and health care professionals (HCPs).
Results of the Delphi process indicated that PwMS and HCPs are aligned on their top priorities for the future of MS care: access to quick and decisive treatment after diagnosis, access to multifunctional care, and development of treatment options to manage invisible symptoms.
