MS in the 21st Century Mapping Study to Quantify the Educational Offerings for Patients from Multiple Stakeholders in the Field of Multiple Sclerosis in Europe and Canada
Rieckmann P et al. 2017
This poster was presented at the annual meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) in 2017, and showcases results from a mapping exercise which aimed to better understand the diversity and number of patient educational materials available for people with multiple sclerosis (PwMS) across Europe and Canada. This poster also presents analysis on the stakeholders who shared these resources.
Results showed that there are many educational materials for PwMS but the type and number varies between countries. Most materials were shared by patient associations, but pharmaceutical companies also contributed. The results also demonstrated potential educational gaps where resource provision was more sparse, including education around communication with healthcare professionals. These findings can be used to tailor the creation of more educational resources to support PwMS.
