MS in the 21st Century mapping study identifying the global educational offerings for multiple sclerosis patients. Presented at ECTRIMS, Berlin, Germany
Schippling S et al. 2018
This poster was presented at the annual congress of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) in 2018, and showcases results from a mapping exercise which aimed to identify the scope, diversity and number of online educational materials for people with multiple sclerosis (PwMS). This poster also presents analysis of the stakeholders who produce these resources and the topics that they cover.
The topics and quantities of resources produced varied significantly among stakeholders, highlighting the importance of different stakeholders for producing educational resources. Results also indicated that PwMS rely on more trustworthy and centralized sources for educational materials. The topics of ‘communication with healthcare professionals’ and ‘information for families and carers’ were found to be under-represented, indicating key educational gaps.
