Michelle Allan
Ms. Michelle Allan has been working as an multiple sclerosis (MS) specialist nurse for more than 20 years in Melbourne, Australia. She began working in neurology in 1996 and in 2001 started working as an MS specialist nurse at Monash Health, where she was integral in setting up the Monash MS Clinic. In 2019, Ms. Allan completed her master’s degree to become a nurse practitioner. During her time as an MS specialist nurse, she has established many patient-focused programs. Ms. Allan has previously held positions including State Delegate for MS Nurses Australasia Inc., and President of the Experts in MS: Professional Network.
Ms. Allan won an award for best poster in the Family and Patient Education category at the Consortium of MS Centers Annual Meeting in 2016, and she presented in the nurse’s session at the European Committee for Treatment and Research in MS the following year. She has also previously won the best poster prize at the Multiple Sclerosis Nurses Australasia Annual Conference.
