MS in the 21st Century is excited to share that our poster Progress in MS care through the last decade and into the next: an update to the 2013 consensus of the MS in the 21st Century Steering Group has been presented by Dr Raed Alroughani at the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) 2025 congress.
Summarizing the results of an updated consensus statement, this poster considers how the priority areas for MS care improvement have changed since 2013 in line with MS care advancements and the needs of people with MS (PwMS) today, from the perspective of both health care professionals HCPs and PwMS.
A Delphi process identified key overlapping areas of priority for both HCPs and PwMS:
- Access to quick and decisive treatment after diagnosis
- Access to multifunctional care (eg, rehabilitation and psychological support)
- Development of treatment options to manage invisible symptoms
