A sub-analysis of global mapping data on the availability of online educational resources for multiple sclerosis patients. Presented at EAN, Oslo, Norway
Vermersch P et al. 2019
This poster was presented at the annual congress of the European Association of Neurology (EAN) in 2019, and showcases results from a mapping exercise which aimed to assess the availability and distribution of resources within three information themes: ‘resources for families’, ‘multiple sclerosis (MS) stages and progression’, and ‘communication with healthcare professionals (HCPs)’.
Results indicated several key unmet educational gaps, including ‘communication with HCPs’ and ‘MS stages and progression’. The results also highlighted that some unmet educational areas are being proactively addressed, mostly by patient groups and associations. Insights from this poster highlight the importance of recognizing and investigating the under-represented areas of online educational resources for people with MS, in order to inform the future development of materials.
