Raed Alroughani
Dr. Raed Alroughani is a consultant neurologist and the Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic at the Amiri and Ibn Sina Hospitals in Kuwait. He received his medical degree from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Dr. Alroughani went on to complete his neurology residency and obtain a neurology certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and later completed a fellowship in multiple sclerosis (MS) while at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
Dr. Alroughani’s fields of interest are primarily directed towards the epidemiology and therapeutics of MS. He established the first national MS registry and multi-disciplinary MS clinic in Kuwait. He is actively involved in research and has authored and co-authored more than 100 publications. He is a founding member and the Secretary General of the Middle East North Africa Committee for Treatment and Research in MS, the Vice Chair of the Scientific Leadership Group of the MSBase Foundation Ltd., and an executive board member of the ParadigMS Foundation.
