Podcast: Family involvement in MS care: Duty or disruption?
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease that doesn’t only affect the individual, but those around the individual too. Family and carer support is crucial in living with a condition like MS. Join Jon Strum, Dr Alice Laroni and Trishna Bharadia in their discussion of the role of families and carers in shared decision-making, and the impact of their involvement on patient satisfaction with care.
Dr Laroni is an actively-practicing neurologist with over 18 years of experience providing clinical care to patients with MS and more than 13 years of experience in neuroimmunological research. Dr Laroni is also an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Genova.
Trishna Bharadia is a multi-award-winning health advocate and patient engagement adviser determined to raise awareness and find solutions for people living with MS. She was diagnosed with MS in 2008.
